I had the honor of photographing a family member’s senior session this week! A cousin of mine is graduating high school at the end of the month, and her mom wanted to capture some photos to celebrate!
The weather and lighting honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. We started at Lilacia Park in Lombard, Illinois, back in my home town. The lilacs are in full bloom and are truly breathtaking right now. And there are tulips and daffodils covering the flowerbeds—the perfect backdrop for spring photos. It was so dreamy!
Then, we headed just down the street to downtown Lombard to wander and snap some more photos. There are so many gorgeous spots and buildings there—lots of brick buildings, gorgeous wooden doors and arches, and string lights scattered around. We were able to move away from the more formal look of a dress and cap and gown to jeans and a sweater, and we finished off with Petra’s college sweatshirt! The downtown area gave us the perfect casual vibe for this session. I may just be telling all of my Illinois clients to have their sessions there from now on, because it was honestly just perfect!
