Whew—it’s been a hot minute since I updated this blog! I took a little time to enjoy motherhood and figure out some of my next steps with my business. So, welcome back if you’ve followed my work before, and hiiii if you’re new to following my work!
Let’s start with a catch-up about what I had going on this past weekend! I have the honor of being a vendor for You’re Invited. You’re Invited is a wedding planning service that specializes in micro weddings. Kate and Caroline work with local vendors and venues to curate GORGEOUS intimate weddings. I’ve been one of their partnered photographers since they opened the beginning of last year.
They recently partnered with one of my husband’s and my favorite Milwaukee breweries, Broken Bat. They have a lovely space on their second floor, The Lumber Room. Last weekend, while Broken Bat celebrated their 8th anniversary downstairs in their taproom, You’re Invited hosted a spring wedding showcase in The Lumber Room. The room is filled with wooden rafters, soft lights, wood floors, and wood tables. It’s simple and understated, yet oh-so cozy. With gorgeous flowers in vases around the room and threaded together in a floral horn arch, springtime colors scattered across decorations and table settings, and romantic wedding dresses, the whole room exuded vibes of warmer weather that I know we’ve all been holding out for.
There were several vendors that showcased their work—some I’ve had the pleasure of working with before and some I got to know for the first time! I always l-o-v-e doing showcases with You’re Invited because I get to connect with other local creatives. It’s just a ton of fun to work together, share ideas, and watch everyone get into their element.
I’ll share my favorite images below and include the vendor’s information accordingly! If you’re local to the MKE or Chicago area, be sure to find them on social media and follow them. They’re all just incredible!
Enjoy!
